The Study Process
The US 60 Connectivity Study is a Planning and Environmental Linkage (PEL) study. PEL studies aim to consider environmental, community, and economic goals and use the collected data, analysis, and products to inform the environmental review process—namely the decision-making process outlined in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). This study requires the PEL process because there is a signed NEPA document for the US 51 Bridge Replacement project.
KYTC District 1 values the tremendous amount of public feedback and interest in the US 60 Connectivity Study. The Project Team is committed to providing a thoughtful, comprehensive report that incorporates all public feedback and thus has adjusted the estimated report delivery date to be May 2024.
District 1 will publicly announce the report’s release and the final report and other information regarding the study will be available on this website.
